All By Myself

OK I know the title is a little dramatic. It refers to 2 things. Firstly I spent last night on my own in the house. Sean had gone to stay in his parents last night because he’s getting the car serviced and their house is much closer to the garage than ours is. So in order to save him getting up too early this morning he stayed over there last night. Wasn’t too bad, Toby kept me company by sleeping beside me while I drifted through web pages on my laptop. Sitting on the couch is way way better than sitting at a PC desk with my back to him

The 2nd reason I chose the title is because I’ll be all by myself all day today in work! Its gonna be very quiet down in my corner today. All I’ll hear is the sounds of me blowing my dose(nose!) and coughing.

At the moment though I’m sitting at my desk with my Starbucks Americano alternating between writing this and doing the Irish Times simplex crossword

Just back from walking the dog  

Today was yet another new starter day in work. After the update we received last week I’m not sure why they’re even still bothering but they are. Its not up to me to reason why so I’ll just leave them to it. Its keeping me busy but with all the groups milling around at the moment its starting to get a wee bit confusing. Some of the people on my team are sick with sore throats and I feel like I’m getting one too, so its gonna be a night for vegging on the couch. Anyhoo enough about that, back to happier thoughts. I had a nice quiet weekend, nice food, plenty of wine, sleep, dog walking. I downloaded some of the shows I like that have just started back in the US and watched them on my laptop. I’m too impatient to wait until they start back here It was just a really nice weekend, I’m just sorry its over
