Yep I’ve slipped again and haven’t written anything in AGES! I was in Sofia again last week with work. It was my last trip there and I was kind of sad saying goodbye to the people I think have become good friends within the last couple of months. They were all great when I was there, so helpful and a really nice bunch to socialise with. When I was there last week I had 24(!!!) students for a systems class. That day was definitely tough but the next day we split the group in half which wasn’t as bad. We ate out every night and had a couple of drinks, I wouldn’t be able to do that constantly here but some of the trainers are still doing it every night out there. I’d be a wreck if I done it for more than one week. Every night I got about 6 hours sleep (if I was lucky) I shouldn’t have done that to myself but at the time it was fun! So while I was in Sofia my team finished up. They were all made redundant while I was away. I am glad in a way that I missed their last day, I probably would’ve cried. As it was I felt a little left out when they were getting their papers. I can’t wait to get mine now. At the moment I haven’t moved desks from where I was and its very lonely. I have too much stuff to move desk for just a couple of weeks so I kinda don’t see the point.
So I would have something to do I volunteered to help out one of the Super user teams. It is using a system I haven’t used in a year and a half but have been delivering training on. It was weird getting used to it again. Earlier this week I was told that my last date would be the 28th of May. I know that team is scheduled to go live in the new centre around the 9th of May so I don’t think I’ll be needed there anymore. At the moment, I am only scheduled for 1 more week of training which isn’t until May but after that I will officially really have NOTHING to do after that. I’d really prefer not to have to go anywhere and leave ASAP but I guess I have committed myself so I suppose I have to
As I can access my e-mails from home I have asked the training manager if I can start to work from home when I get back from there and she seems to be OK with that but we shall see what happens.
I am already planning what I’m going to do next. Too early to say for definite but I have an interview next Tuesday for training co-ordinator in a customer service training department. I have my fingers and toes crossed for this because even though I’d have to travel into the city centre, the salary scale is very good. So if it all goes to plan, I’ll get my redundancy money and walk straight into another job. The thoughts of an interview is terrifying me
( So… anyone got any advice?
S put Toby on a diet while I was in Sofia. Well not a diet as such but he’s reduced his food by ¼ a day. That’s the dried stuff. For Toby’s dinner he gets between ½ and ¾ cup of food and a full chicken breast. Then he only gets 2 biscuits a day. You could nearly eat the biccies yourself. The flavour he’s on at the moment is apple and cinnamon shortbread. They are doggy biccies in case you thought I’d gone loop the loop. Toby usually gets the chicken ones but I thought these would be nice for a change and he loves them
My rabbits are both doing OK. They keep knocking food out to Toby after I feed them, usually a little baby corn or a carrot or something but I find it hilarious watching them kick something out to him. Then he runs off up the garden, in case I try to take it off him, and lies down to eat it. I think it’s the cutest thing ever.
Not planning much yet for the weekend. We’ve to go to Arklow on Sunday to see S’s aunt who is over from Birminghamon holiday. I still need my sleep!! But maybe we’ll go to the cinema. I have to do some shopping, while I’m in the centre, I might even try to pick up a new suit for my interview. Whoo nice shopping haha.
What a sh*t post – sorry! I hope you’ve made it to the end
Have a nice weekend
